  1. Great product, great value
I'm new to kayaking and bought this for my husband and 5 year old to ride with me (I bought a single top-rider for myself). Yesterday we had this out on the lake for the first time and we fit all three of us on the kayak. The kayak felt very stable on the water; I think you'd have to try pretty...
  2. SUPER STABLE

LONDON CALLING: Training hits a slippery slope for McKeever

KAYAK king Ed McKeever is back in at the deep end as he gets stuck in to winter training with the Great Britain team.

The 27-year-old, whose family live in Farleigh Wick, has begun the countdown to next year’s Olympic Games and is set to trade in his canoe for a pair of skis next week as the British team mix up their fitness regime ahead of London 2012.

The 2010 World and European K1 200m champion, who is based in Berkshire near the Olympic canoe sprint venue Downey Lake, is set for a gruelling winter but says that hard work is mandatory as he chases Olympic success next year.

“We’ve been starting really early every evening now with training but it’s also been a lot milder than usual this year so far, so that makes things a lot easier for us,” said McKeever, who is a member of Bradford on Avon Canoe Club.

“We get to spend a lot longer in the water than in the gym, which is really good and we’re going to Switzerland next week to spend two weeks doing cross-country skiing for our fitness.

Investigating Used Golf Clubs? Go Through The Following Before You Buy

With the economy the way it is and the price of new golf golf clubs being what they are many individuals have turned a corner and began buying used golf golf clubs. It seems that the main reason that is always given for purchasing used clubs is the price. Plus, recycling anything is good for the environment! So when looking at used golf clubs, what should we know?

First, you need to look at the golf clubs heads for face wear. Many times golf clubs that have been well loved and used over time will develop a shiny worn spot in the center of the face. This is not good because the club face won't hold the ball as well as it should. The groves in the face of the club all need to have good definition and not have any dents what soever as these will make a difference in the flight of your ball.

Another important thing to look for in used golf golf clubs is the shafts. Graphite shafts can become weakened by indentation and worn spots in the shaft so be sure to look them over real carefully. Grab a hold of the head and the grip and twist them in opposing directions. If you don't feel a lot of resistance, you will know that there is some weakness in the shaft. You only need to do this test with a graphite shaft. With steel shafts, just look down the shaft to make sure it hasn't been bent back into shape.
