I bought this dry sack about a year ago, and have used it to put clothes in when biking in the rain and just clipping it to the outside of my backpack. It's been working great. However, I just took this camping, and somehow, got tons of little rips in the fabric! I have no idea how as I just... -
nice product
This bag is less expensive, thinner and lighter than the ones I have purchased in the past but I like the compactability of the bag and it appears to be made well. I have a fishing trip in spring and look forward to using this bag. So far happy with the purchase.

Kayaker finds peace up a lake with a paddle
After Tom Libby retired, he drove from San Francisco to Nova Scotia. What he remembered most were the kayaks on top of cars, so when he got back he followed them to Lake Merritt. Libby, 73, now crosses the bridge twice a week to paddle.
Why: Being a northern Minnesota native, and having grown up on a lake there, I've always been predisposed to exercise on the water. Not for me the white-water-adventure kind of kayaking. But I spend an hour paddling around the whole lake, which is quiet, serene and beautiful. I've had asthma my whole life, and kayaking really helps my breathing.
Gear you can't live without: Mesh workout gloves. They prevent blisters from forming between your thumbs and forefingers.
Where you train: Lake Merritt Boating Center, in Oakland. It has a Kayak Klub rental card, which allows 20 rentals for $70. That's got to be one of the best-kept secrets in the Bay Area.
