Nice trailer
I've used this a couple of times now, and I like it a lot. It's light, tows very easy, and does not bounce around. The instructions were very good and all the parts were there. Nothing negative at all.
I just bought a kayak and im hoping to take on the river with a friend to me during spring break. I need to know what I need for a stay of 2 nights on a sandbar and a 30 mile trip along the River.
I have this spreadsheet and I finished the back, but need help with all of Part B / C I'm terrible at these things. Here are the instructions: Identify each group of words below by writing F for the sentence fragment, R to execute the...
Addicted to Rivers
Or Papa New Guinea. When it is all said and done I might spend a combined year or two of my life just scouting new water online! But why?
If you have ever fished a river via paddle-powered watercraft you already know the answer to that question. Most of us have that internal drive to explore and that is part of the reason we kayak fish, to get into areas that others have not been able to access easily. I believe there is a little Christopher Columbus, Lewis and Clark or Ponce De Leon in each kayak angler that, like me, has a drive to explore the unknown fisheries.
For me it started as a young kid where I knew every rock that was peppered throughout the creek that snaked its way through our wooded back yard. As my brother and I got older we continued to explore further and further downstream each day pushing the limits of our bodies, daylight and my parents patience! It was well worth it when we found “the old waterfall,” “the road crossing” and the confluence to a creek we simply called “the big creek.” In a recent trip back to the are I crossed this “big creek” and it sure looks a lot smaller than I remember it when I was seven. As a kid that creek was practically a river, and the woods around it were an isolated jungle. Today, my adult eyes see just how close the houses really are, and how small the flow really is, but it was about exploration and how it captivated me then, and still does today.
Down River Kayaks
That’s ok. I didn’t want to hear their bitchin’ anyway. For me, a good class II paddle is all about who you are with. My mom won’t go near anything resembling white water (except that time we tricked her into putting on at Lee’s Ferry….story for another day). But on the friendly “waves” of the GW canal run at Violette’s Lock on the Potomac, she’ll happily paddle her rec kayak and soak up the sun.
Our last trip down this pleasant section turned into a floating html meeting, my father instructing and I trying to process (I hope that you appreciate the spaces between paragraphs). I caught up on the details of my friend Brian’s life, including healing body parts, his kick ass lacrosse playing woman, and job talk. I also advised him on how he might work part time as a guitar instructor.
On this very scenic paddle, we even got to hike a charming little trail (thanks giant channel-spanning tree!).
