Blocks out the rays really well ..
These glasses are very effective. They totally block out sun glare. Unfortunately, IMHO, they're "GUY glasses". TOURNAMENT WIRE: A Floridian's Down-Under Championship Odyssey

Traveling to Australia to fish the Hobie-Daiwa World Kayak Fishing Championship was an experience I will never forget. Australia has always been on top of my list of places to visit, not to mention fish. When the opportunity arouse, I gladly accepted.
Immediately a number of species flashed through my mind. What would be our target species? To my surprise, we would be fishing for yellowfin bream. A fish I had never heard of before, and to be honest, I was disappointed that we would not target pelagics offshore or aggressive and exotic freshwater fish such as barramundi.
After a little research I quickly started to learn the bream’s appeal. Yellowfin bream are slow growing, just a centimeter per year. They are very smart and have excellent eyesight, sometimes requiring the use of tackle as light as 4-pound braid and 2-pound fluorocarbon leader. What really makes it complicated is that the big girls live in heavy structure with fast moving current. With the light tackle, fishing them is an exhilarating experience.

"This is going to be hilarious" The line was ripping off and the big red was hell bent for the mangrove roots. Sitting in a saltwater lagoon ten yards away, I mused at what was unfolding. "The look on Andy's face as he tried to grab his kayak paddle, hold his fishing rod, fight the fish, and figure out how to do it all with two hands was priceless!"
Once you rig up and wet your line, stow away that seven foot, cumbersome kayak paddle. Place your compact kayak fishing hand paddle close by. When it is time to maneuver your kayak, a few silent strokes of your kayak fishing hand paddle places you back on target. You were stealthy, kept fishing and never spooked your prey. Halleluiah!
