  1. a Great buy
We needed a cheap way to get into kayaking and found this kayak on Amazon. If cheap and easy is what you are after this is the way ahead. We got it to the lake and had it inflated in minutes with a coleman quick pump(which is not that good). I also purchased a skeg and some ali paddles. Minutes...
  2. Not Bad at All
I was thinking of buying a kayak just to get out on the water, and maybe for fishing. I live in an apartment in the city, however, and have no place to keep a hardside boat unless I consider it furniture. When I read about inflatable kayaks I was interested, but skeptical. Launch of The Milkcrate

What's in your milkcrate?

Documenting and exploring kayak fishing's unique culture is the ambitious goal at the heart of the new Milkcrate website .

Described as "a gathering place for many of the details integral to the sport," the site's initial offererings start appropriately at the beginning. In their own words, Ocean Kayak founder Tim Nimier and pioneering 1980s kayak angler Gary Sinkus sketch the early days.

It's a fine introduction for a different kind of kayak fishing website, one that will collect interviews, artwork, photographs and essays the way that milkcrates house rods and tackle. Over time, it will become a treasure trove of experiences reflecting the many facets of a sport its adherents are still defining.

Although Andy Jade and Allen Sansano launched this boat, they don't seem to know exactly where it's headed. Jade responded to an email asking for more background on the project's motivation with this curious statement: "Whatever interpretation that you have is fine. In fact, that's what I'd be most curious to see," he wrote.

Kayaks and Fishing Tackle Shops in the UK: What You Need to Know

For the serious UK angler who has tried on everything, kayak fishing might be his or her latest activity. Here is some info you that would help you when you shop for your gear from fishing tackle shops . It can be difficult towing a boat, when you own one, and getting it into the open waters. When your boat is big enough, a kayak can be custom-built to piggyback on your boat. The kayak, over time, will be paying for itself by way of saved storage and fuel consumption costs. A kayak is quiet enough to take you to fishing areas you won’t access in normal boats. The boat’s low profile is less likely to disturb the fish.
