Chollas : Open daily to youngsters 15 and under. San Diego Fly Fishers sponsors a Lend-A-Rod program on Sundays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and it includes free bait and tackle and fishing tips.
Cuyamaca : The DFG delivered 1,200 pounds of trout last week to add to a very well-stocked lake. Look for fishing to turn on here as the weather warms. Trollers with any kind of orange on their lures will do well once the trolling bite begins. Bobby Kay, San Diego, 4-0 trout, orange jar bait, with an 18-inch leader, shoreline, Lone Pine. Open daily.
Diamond Valley : Lake will be stocked with 2,000 pounds of trout from Mt. Lassen this week. Good fishing for big largemouth bass, trout and striped bass. Big stringers of 20- to 25 pounds for five bass being reported. Twenty two-angler teams from the Top Stick Tournament combined for 630 bass (all released). Bass up to nearly 10 pounds biting. Trout up to 7 pounds being caught by trollers. Striped bass to 19 pounds reported. Kris Massie, Oceanside, 8.76 striped bass. Open daily. Launch ramp now open.
